Horrible and awkward public speaker. Looks like hes going to have a breakdown every class and its distracting to students. Very nice though and very helpful. CLASS IS NOT ON "ASIAN" LANGUAGES AND CULTURES, but focuses on topics relating to Indian culturereligion. Branches such as hinduism, buddism, indonesian drums and vietnamese literature

The material is pretty easy but trying to stay awake in lectures is painful. Lowman is shaky and awkward and hard to pay attention to. Lectures are just him speaking and you writing down whatever you think might be important.. Not as interesting of a class as I had hoped. Discussions are also irrelevant and waste of time but attending is mandatory.

Easy class but this was Lowman's first time teaching a class and it showed. He seemed unorganized and shaky and at any moment I expected him to break into a panic attack. He got better as the class progressed but still has work to do. He is very monotone and speaks way too softly. Overall, he is a nice guy and genuinely interested in the material.
