Such a good class! Dr. Drewal is one of the leading African art professors in the world so his knowledge is impeccable. He is very passionate about the subject and it was interesting to learn about something I did not know anything about. You have to go to discussion but its well worth it.

All around great professor. Only 1 actual paper and 2 tests. He is very clear on grading, super enthusiastic, and I highly recommend taking any of his classes.

Prof. Drewal is one of the best professors I've ever had. Incredibly nice, very helpful, and fun/easy to talk to. His stories are great so I highly recommend going in and talking to him during office hours. The class consists of one paper, a midterm, and an OPTIONAL final.

He is an intelligent guy who has been to Africa many times and it is clear he has a lot of knowledge about Africa. He is able to explain African art very well and is very interesting. There is one midterm exam and one final. There is a couple of papers due but overall a good class. I would recommend it and i think he is a really good professor.

Very nice guy, easy leactures to understand, attendance is key for good grade on the exams. not a lot of work but memorization of art pieces is very important
