Perhaps THE BEST lecturer/TA I've seen on campus. The syllabus and course schedule look intimidating, but the course is well-paced. Even two submissions for assignments regarding the most difficult content (mid-semester). Lectures are dense, but digestible. Easily accessible outside the classroom. Griffin was a stellar professor and overall a great guy. If you took stats in high school you will breeze through this course, and even if not Griffin will give you everything you need to truly understand everything. NEVER expected to get an A in this class. I am not great at math & was dreading my LS stats req, but I think Griffin knew none of us wanted to be there & tried to make it as easy as possible. I actually understood a lot of the material. There's a lot of homework, but you just have to do well on the data analysis projects.& Go to his office hours!!Rate My Professors ↗
Overall one of the best professors at UW. I am not good with math but he makes this course very easy to understand as long as you are keeping up with the textbook. One of the best professors I've ever had. Genuinely cares about students wellbeing and wants them to learn. He's very supportive: accepts late work, gives excused absences, very understanding.
