I only had Gloria as a sub one time, but just from that one class I can tell that she's a good professor, which is a rare sight here @ UW. I wanted to post this review and point out that most of the negative reviews about Gloria are from younger students who took calc 1/2 with her, and that they likely weren't anticipating college math to be hard.Rate My Professors ↗

Gloria is a funny lady but a HORRIBLE teacher. I took calculus in high school and understood it just fine, then took it with Gloria and became more confused about things I already had some questions on. Unless you have a decent TA, I suggest getting a tutor or a different professor. Worst professor I've had thus far. Avoid at all cost.Rate My Professors ↗

She obviously is a very intelligent person, but she does not know how to teach the material. Homework, lecture, quizzes, and the midterms never seemed to be connected. Requires a lot of work and studying on your own if you want to do well. The final was a lot easier than the midterms though which helped my grade greatly.Rate My Professors ↗

Her exams are all fair, but if you don't get a good ta it can be very difficult. Shes not very good at giving examples so you have to learn a lot of variations on problems by yourself. Passable if you work hard.Rate My Professors ↗

Tests were fair. But her class was pretty hard to follow, previous calculus classes are necessary to follow what she's talking about.Rate My Professors ↗

Awful, her lectures were extremely hard to follow and she never answered questions during class well. She presumed all of us already knew the information she was teaching and always presumed the student to be wrong.Rate My Professors ↗
