Would not take this professor again, he comes off as funny and easy going, but don't expect one-on-one help, he is not there for it. He will criticize your inability to understand the material. If don't understand something and ask him to clarify after class, he will say he doesn't have time. Good luck with this course.

He's a great professor. The cases suck and so do the exams but if you actually apply yourself it should be just as easy as AIS 100. He's a genuinely great dude too.

If you took AIS100 on campus, you should be fine, otherwise may struggle a bit. Overall, he's very generous about grades. Very likely to curve your grade one level up if you really put effort in his class. You will learn a lot from him.

Fabio helps you out as much as he can. He goes through examples during class to help you understand the material and sets a pretty generous curve compared to the other professors. Also kept classes somewhat entertaining. Great professor.

Would highly recommend taking this course with Fabio. Tests aren't easy, but he is great in lecture and is an overall very personable guy. Always available for help and most important WANTS each student to understand everything. Would definitely take another accounting course with Fabio

Accounting is a difficult subject for me, but Fabio's class was much more interesting and relevant than other accounting classes I've taken. He was upfront about the subject matter from the beginning, and worked hard to make the class about more than just the textbook. He is a really great professor, and I highly suggest taking a class with him.

Fabio is very clear and helpful in lecture or for any questions on the materials that we went over. Make sure to do the homework and read the book to do well.

Fabio is a great Professor and provides clear explanations of what was you learned in AIS 100. The tests are just as difficult as other accounting classes and they make you work hard for the whole two hour time limit. I would definitely recommend taking this class with Fabio! He also show really neat photos form traveling he has done!

Fabio is a great professor that truly wants his students to do well. Although accounting isn't my favorite subject Fabio made me actually interested in it! I strongly disliked 100 and 211 but 301 wasn't too bad as long as you go to class , pay attention and study. Would highly recommend this professor!

Awesome professor! He is very easygoing, clear and helpful all the time. He constantly asks if there is any question and keeps everyone engaged by sometimes calling us to answer his questions. You will be fine with homework if you understand the examples he shows in class. The grading policy is quite favorable, but you still need to work hard!

Fabio's a good teacher & knows acct well. Expect to do as well as you did in acct100. A LOT of the material, even stuff for the final, is from 100. I got an A in 100 & thought 301 was very easy. Lecture is optional and if you read and understand the material it is kind of pointless, I took 1 page of in-class notes. Actually do all wiley hw. READ

Fabio was the best professor I have had at UW-Madison. 301 was definitely not an easy class at all but Fabio was always so helpful at his office hours and really wanted me to understand what was happening vs memorizing it. I would take every class with him if I could.

Fabio is an incredibly interesting person and I love how open he is, he hides nothing about the course. You can literally ask him anything about anything. I would definitely take a class with him in the future if given the chance.

Fabio completely changed my outlook on the study of accounting (in a positive way). Although the course is tough, he made all topics interesting and graspable. I wish I could have taken prior accounting classes with Fabio; I may have reconsidered my major. Probably one of the top 3 professors I've had at UW-Madison.

I had this class at 4 pm so keeping everyone interested is no easy task, but Fabio made it seem easy. He was very personable and helpful. As long as you do your reading ahead of time, ask questions, and pay attention in class you should have no problem.

One of my favorite professors I've had. Effectively engages the interest level of the class regardless of major. Fabio outlines what is expected of you and if you listen to him it is not hard at all to get a B in this class. He's smart, dedicated, funny, passionate, and cares for the wellbeing of his students. Wish taught FIN classes as well.

Professor Gaertner is one of the best instructors I have had in the four years I have been in college. He cares about the material and has a way of making the material important to his students. Gaertner's explanations are clear and never over done. Paying attention in his class and attending regularly will help you do well on exams.

Fabio is probably the best professor I've ever had. I came into this class with bad grades in my last two accounting classes but he explained everything very well and helped me understand the material much better than I ever did before. The class requires a lot work regardless of which professor you have but Fabio did an excellent job teaching it.

The start of the class is really easy because it was mostly just review from acct 100, but after the first exam the class got much more difficult. I had to read the chapters multiple times and study for days before the exams, but Fabio was a great!

Excellent teacher. Intermediate Accounting is not the most interesting material to begin with; however, I found myself excited to go to class. Professor Gaertner is hilarious and a great resource for those interested in accounting as a profession.
