Lectures were sometimes hard to pay attention to and the slides were also just filled with large quotations, making it hard to take notes. I did appreciate his care for these texts and he did a good job of integrating terms into the texts, which was really helpful when we got to the exam.Rate My Professors ↗
He makes the 'Sage On The Stage' lecture format work through sheer charisma. He's a brilliant mind, he makes very difficult texts more accessible (still challenging though), and he literally gave me the ability to appreciate experimental literature at all. Yeah this prof is way better than this rating. The readings were very philosophy heavy but 1) If you paid attention they gave a lot of material related to the science fiction we read. 2) English also has background in philosophy and having a philosophy-heavy class isn't neccesarily a bad thing.
