Great professor, tougher grader but gives good feedback on areas of improvement.

She was incredible! I loved her class and her engaging style of teaching. Everyone gets involved and it helps people learn. The best professor I've had.

Overall, a fun and engaging professor! There were a few times I felt the class could have been a little more organized, but I enjoyed her teaching style and improved my writing greatly under her instruction.

She is a really nice professor, but sometimes it feels like she may not fully have structure or control over her class. She was an extremely understanding professor though, and teaches enthusiastically. Connects with students well.

Eve is a nice professor, unfortunately is not familiar with business topics. This made the class material hard to understand. The presentations by class mates was what facilitated the understanding of the material.

Most classes turn into the professor's story time about her life and she often brought up inappropriate topics (disciplining her children, past boyfriends, Trump, Kanye) that were not necessary or relevant to the course. Lots of busy work assignments (3 per week). Quizzes were always riddled with spelling and answer errors that students corrected.

Pujol is an amazing prof. - funny, understanding, fair, engaging, caring. There are homework assignments for every class, but they aren't bad at all. One presentation. Lots of "hands-on" through speaking, partner activities, class discussion, etc. Tests can be tough but they are open note. Attendance is decently strict, but I usually wanted to go.

Cards about students and is extremely nice. Have to come to class prepared and be engaged or you wont do well. Outside of class have some small assignments frequently and some papers but no quizzes/tests. Grades based on improvement in your writing.

Dra. Pujol was great! She was very understanding & most of the time we could ask her to push back assignments if we had a lot going on during that week. She even pushed back an assignment b/c it was halloweekend. She encouraged us to discuss issues relevant to the material, which was much more interesting than just listening to a lecture.

Eve is such an amazing teacher and the class is decently easy. There are small homework assignments before every class and a couple short essays throughout the semester--definitely manageable workload. Eve really focuses on making sure that everyone is improving instead of expecting perfection, so if you try hard enough you'll get a good grade.

Awesome professor! I learned a lot from her and I'm not even a Spanish major. It's the first Spanish class that I've genuinely enjoyed. She creates a super open and laid back learning environment that facilitates discussion. I actually looked forward to going to class.

I loved my class with Eve. She's super nice and really cares about her students. Sometimes we would have a whole class just talking about current events. There's a lot of busy work as homework which you need to complete in order to participate in class, but as long as you write the papers you should get a good grade.

Eve was my favorite Spanish professor. 325 is a course based on conversational Spanish and I have never felt more comfortable sharing my thoughts and opinions. She sets up a very easy-going environment by sharing things about her own life, and encouraging us to do the same.

Rude and disrespectful,

Would NOT recommend. If you try to take notes by hand in lecture, you have no chance. She goes way too fast through her slides, you need to use a laptop with the slides pulled up to "fill in the blank". All she knows is what is on her slides, she doesn't elaborate at all. Good luck finding answers to quiz questions in lecture notes.

Eve is really a great person. Her lectures are pretty interesting, though there were times I found myself checking the clock a lot. Not the most organized though, as the TA often had to answer a lot of questions for clarification , and even she didn't know what was up with Eve. Overall a decent class.

Eva is one of the most upbeat profs I've had. She makes the material very fun and interesting and is really cool. Sometimes her lectures are a little confusing but most of the material is straightforward. Lots of guided readings so be ready for that. Overall, she is a great lecturer and a lot of fun. Speaks clear Spanish so able to be understood.

Mod-podge of disorganized lectures and information that is poorly tested in disproportionately difficult quizzes and written exams. She seems like a nice human but organized the course as she went along. NO semester syllabusschedule. My T.A. had to clarify that we were evaluating her so we wouldn't express our negative thoughts about the prof.

This was probably one of the least organized classes I have ever taken. There was no complete syllabus at the beginning of the semester, and decisions are made last minute as though she is making it up as she goes along. Her lecture style does not fit a large group of people in the slightest; maybe she would be better in a smaller class?

This class is extremely unorganized. No clear syllabus for the entire semester is given at the beginning rather you get assigned stuff every couple weeks or so and now the things we talk about in lecture, what we're supposed to read and the reading guides we do and discussion don't match up at all. It's a mess. Get the english version of the book.

The most poorly organized class I have taken at UW. The lecture schedule doesn't match up with the reading schedule which doesn't match up with the required reading guides that are no help to any assessment. Exams and quizzes are based off of lecture and readings and "stuff that's not on either." If possible, take this class with a different prof.

Extremely poorly organized class with unclear syllabus. We didn't recieve a grade for our two presentations until the end of the semester so I didn't know how to prepare my second presentation. Eve was nice enough but it almost seemed fake. Don't take the class if you don't care about history. Also buy the book in English.

Eve really helped improve my writing. Her grading policy is kind of up in the air - no firm criteria is given but instead you are graded on improvement so if you put in the effort to get better then you'll end up with a good grade. Class was fun and helpful, if you didn't understand something Eve would make sure the class got it before moving on.

Hands down, best Spanish teacher I've ever had. I actually learn from her! She finds a way to somehow make class enjoyable. Funny and positive, has a great attitude. Very fair, gives helpful feedback. Made it clear to my class that she doesn't hand out As, you have to do the work to improve but her helpfulness makes that completely attainable!

Eve was a great professor! She grades based off of improvement, and although we did a lot of speaking practice, she was a very effective professor. After taking her class, my writing improved a ton and I learned more in her class than I did in 326. One of my favorite professors at Madison! Take her if you can!

Eve was great! We wrote a lot of essays, but your grade is based on improvement, and she gives great, detailed comments on each essay. In class, we spent a lot of time just discussing current events in a very low-key environment. I would definitely recommend her for 311! AND my Spanish writing improved a ton. Win-Win!

Eve is awesome! She is so nice and genuinely wants her students to succeed. Best discussion atmosphere I've had yet in Madison. Most of the class is just talking about your weekend/lives so no pressure. There are several writing assignments: Ensayos are easy and are based mostly off of effort and composiciones are long but she is super helpful!

I loved her! Funny and engaging in class while really helping the class understand the literature. No exams, just papers and a diary that are graded pretty easily - definitely more focus on the content than grammar. I would definitely take another class with her!

She was an AMAZING teacher!! Definitely take her for 311! No exams and you get two drafts for your "ensayos" and she has great feedback. You don't really get grades throughout the semester but if you do the minimum (turn in work, go to class) guaranteed a B; anymore effort, grade goes up! Participate, she likes that and makes you feel comfortable

Awesome teacher! Really fun and cared about class. Very approachable. Buy the book in English off Amazon or Ebay (it helps a ton). Ridiculously easy class if you've taken Spanish for more than 2 semesters and you go to class. Loved Eve!

Eve is a really nice, funny prof, but honestly her exams are terrible. I felt like we literally learned nothing in lecture, but I filled out the study guides and studied hard, yet there were ALWAYS questions on the exam that I had no idea where they came from. Most pointless class ever; learn nothing, study extremely hard, yet cannot do well

Eve was great! Whoever wrote that last comment must have beef with her because she was a great prof and she gave us study guides THREE weeks before test.. so we knew EXACTLY what was on their. Eve was great! Really knew what she was talking about! Take 223 with Eve- its an interesting class! Try to get Arsenio as a TA as well, hes cuban!

Goes way too fast on PPs. Textbook is useless and contains false information. Gives study guides on nothing that was covered in lecture, tells you to use Wikipedia to fill in the gaps, and then tests you on nothing that was on the study guide! Very nice lady, but not that great of a teacher.

Eve is really an awesome professor. She is very friendly and funny, and is very responsive to her students. She changed the entire format of the class because we were struggling. She also provides great feedback on papers.

Eve is BY FAR the best spanish professor that I have taken at the UW & I am a Spanish Major! She truly cares about the success of her students and will make time to go over the questions in class. We spend time discussing plans for weekend and fun ideas. Even though she is not a native speaker, she still does a great job! Take Spanish 311 with Eve!

I love this teacher! Take her if you can. No exams, although there are 3 "ensayos". Do your homework, turn it in on time and show her that you improved and you WILL get a good grade.

History class, not culture class. Reads from unedited powerpoints with lots of pictures. "Textbook" is a fictitious novel, therefore has incorrect dates. Powerpoints are not a good resource either. She often has to ask the native Spanish-speaking TAs how to say certain words in Spanish; she's a French native.

First of all, this is not a "culture" class, but a history class. Pujol seems like she would be much better teaching a smaller class. Her lectures are ridiculous - sometimes 80 pp slides crammed into 50 minutes. I've stopped going to lecture. Totally unhelpful. Exams fair; gives you all possible questions ahead of time. Book is AWFUL for class.

Not hard to get an A, but I don't know if I'd recommend her because I didn't learn much. No tests, so I wasn't really motivated to study. She is a strict grader on papers so makes sure your grammar is flawless. She definitely picks favorites, normally people that talk a lot.

Pujol is an awesome teacher! Her classes usually involve a lot of discussion and are very laid back. Obviously there are a lot of papers to write, but they are definitely doable. Eve is very articulate and overall a lot of fun!

love. her. probably the best professor i have ever had. genuinely cares for her students, varies topics, uses conversation to hone grammar skills w/o students even realizing.

Ridiculously easy class. A lot of small, pointless assignments combined with a few essays. Don't expect to learn much grammar - she treats it more as a conversation class and wants you to talk. Class time consists of gossip and "What I did this weekend." At least Eve is hilarious.

I was very disappointed in this class. We started out doing grammar stuff, but then it seemed like she got bored and all we did was talk about politics and stuff every lecture. I felt like I was wasting my time. No tests, but she's really picky about stupid things in the assignments, like how we staple the papers...

We usually just sit in class all chit-chatting the entire time, and then after teaching us pretty much nothing she grades our papers extremely harshly. Also, she never responds to e-mails/questions that I send her which is really frustrating too. There aren't any exams though, which is nice.

This was my FAVORITE Spanish class! Eva is one of the nicest teachers I've ever had! Quite a bit of homework/papers but they're relatively easy, and she gives very few tests- NO FINAL!

I think this was the best Spanish class I've ever taken. Eva was lots of fun and I ended up learning a lot without it feeling like I was putting in any effort.

Best Spanish class and teacher I've ever had. The workload is not intense, and the class is never boring- Eve is absolutely hilarious, entertaining, extremely nice and understanding. I loved the class- HIGHLY recommend it!!

really fun; made it interesting to learn

I loved this class!! Eve is one of the nicest people I know. It is true that she expects a lot from her students, but if you work hard and care about what you learn you'll be fine and you'll have fun. Eve is funny and a great teacher. I am really going to miss this class. I'm so glad I took it.

Eve is a very good teacher. Some think the class is difficult but the truth is that you should not be taking Spanish if you can’t handle her class. This class involves grammar, reading, writing, and giving 2 group presentations. It is quite easy if you do your work and can write okay. This class is great preparation for the next level. Take Eve’s

I had her for the summer session and she was pregnant...so maybe that influenced her teaching style but I thought she was nice and fun! She talked A LOT but was helpful and very approachable. She disliked teaching grammar and di so reluctantly, which sucked since it was a grammar and writing class! Otherwise, good teacher.

I loved Spanish until taking her class. Very judgmental and wants you to "write like they do in spanish" but doesn't tell you how to go about doing that. Not very welcoming. Not for freshman.

The class is Grammar and Writing. Apparently she doesn't know that because she turned it into Analysis of Literature. The papers are almost impossible to do well on. She can be extremely irrational and uncaring. Do not take as a freshman. Other professors of this class are much better.

She'll make you work very hard, but if you're willing to put the time in, you'll be fine. The key to doing well is to go to her office hours, asking questions in class can be hard.

GREAT teacher, very entertaining, seems scary at first, but wants students to do well--highly recommended!!!

Very scary for an entering freshman. More writing and harder than other 226 classes, so be prepared. Makes class seem difficult, but grades end up decent. Definitely not a blow off class!

not as much grammar as the other spanish 226 courses but a little more writing.. overall good prof
