History 120- Pros: Midterm and final are written, based on readings, graded leniently, and easy to prepare for. A few papers, based on readings, which have clear expectations. Readings are engaging! Dr. Kuby is very knowledgeable, passionate, and funny so her lectures were great! Cons: I genuinely have none. Take this class if you can!

Dr Kuby's class was one of the best that I have taken so far, by far the best humanities class I have ever been in. She makes lectures very interesting and little to no out of class work besides readings which are usually concise and not too boring, and some small reactions to those readings. Very fair grader.

Professor Kuby is the best. She truly care about her students and makes lectures interesting and engaging. She encourages participation, but doesn't shame or discredit students if they don't want to speak up. She can be a tough grader on papers, but ALWASY gives fabulous feedback that can help you improve for next time.

Dr. Kuby is the best professor that I've ever had. She's amazingly entertaining: her lectures are lively and passionate, and she drives engagement with students without making anyone feel under pressure. I strongly encourage UW students to take any of her classes. She's also passionate about the material, which really makes a student want to learn!

Overall, she was a kind and enthusiastic professor, however, I wouldn't take a class with her again because lectures are very auditory with little helpful information written on slides, which doesn't really work for me. Though the tests were a lot of writing, she provided study guides ahead of time with all the terms/people you need to know.
