Ethan was an amazing professor! IMO people overhyped the difficulty of this class. Between Ethan and the TAs there were so many opportunities to get help, especially with R. You needed 2/3 lecture check-ins, otherwise attendance wasn't mandatory. Research project was also structured so you'd get feedback before the final paper

Non mandatory reading, important lectures and discussion to practice R. Ethan was a great professor and I would happily take a class of his in the future.
