As mentioned before, she talks too fast. Typing is a necessity. It feels disorganized and readings don't correspond with lectures very well. This does not facilitate good learning and neither does the lack of posted PowerPoint notes. She mostly describes studies in lectures including those in text. Should explain concepts more. Test are too difficult, and the the essays she gives out that are worth 6 percent each have unclear grading rubric and marked stupid hard. Relatively easy material yet my worst class. Did not reflect my knowledge. Would avoid Erica's classes.Rate My Professors ↗
With 3 tests and 3 extra credit assignments, you really can't go wrong here. If you don't take notes on a laptop, make a friend and share notes, but I found lecture easy to follow. Make sure you memorize who did what (study name, procedure, and experimenters). Without effort (and a textbook), I earned an A.Rate My Professors ↗
Do NOT take with Erica unless you literally have no other option. She might be passionate about it but she moves WAY WAY too fast, refuses to post her slides online, and does not allow students to take pictures... even when she tries to go "slower" it's almost impossible to get everything down.
