Professor Sapega is one of the best Professors I have had! I went into the class really apprehensive, not knowing anything about Portugal and lacking confidence in my writing skills. She not only made the information really interesting but also really helped me with writing papers. Take a class with Ellen you won't regret it!!

Professor Sagega is AMAZING! She gets really excited about what she is teaching and you can tell it's what she loves doing. The class is not taught in Portuguese so that's also a benefit for people who want to know about Portugal but don't speak the language. She is also super helpful even if it's things no regarding the class, she really knows UW

Ellen is a very knowledgeable professor who works hard to provide informative and engaging lectures for students. She cares a lot about participation and coming to class with ideas and encourages students to be as interested in the material as she is. Ellen is a fair grader and speaks a clear Portuguese. I highly recommend taking a class with her.

Ellen is a fantastic professor! She loves to talk to students and is always super helpful. There is a lot of reading for 361 but it is most always very interesting. I recommend!
