Ellen was a ton of fun--I notice that this hasn't been changed since she moved to Kenyon but I took ANTH 113 and a special topic music class she did. Every lecture she does is about something really interesting that you wouldn't think to learn about, and the projects are all a lot of fun. She also has a ton of really interesting personal stories.

It was truly a pleasure to be in Ellen's class this semester. She was so laid-back and understanding about work and really created such an amazing atmosphere for class discussion. I know the majority of my class chose to take a second semester with her, and if my schedule allows I will be doing the same. Take her class!!

Ellen wasn't supposed to be the professor for this, but she was amazing. She randomly took attendance throughout the semester. Grade was half attendance, half a presentation based on a reading. Weekly posting based on readings (Super easy to do without reading). Midterm was a take home paper and final was a paper about anything. Took for honors
