Wasn't a huge fan. Class was hard, questions were randomly selected over hundreds of pages of required reading. Disagreed with answers. Just was wrong thats it.
Prof Pigarelli is an incredibly empathetic and caring woman. I loved talking to her outside of class. But the way her class is set up is atrocious. There are 2-3 hours of online lectures before class every week, followed by a class that is basically just reciting a few facts. The exams (worth 84%) aren't difficult, but aren't covered in class.
Pigarelli is a sweet professor that is always available for office hours or even a chat outside of class. However, her class is very exam heavy worth 84%. Spent more time studying for this 2 credit class than I did for more of my 3 credit classes, but she challenged you to memorize and is well worth it if pursuing pharmacy.
Prof. Pigarelli is a strict professor, and I do spent more than 2cr-time to perform well in the exams. However, as you attend her office hour, you will find her really kind and nice. 3 exams w/ total 84%, and a few extra credits:1%. Recommend this course if you are interested in pharmacy. If you just want to fulfill your electives, do not take it.
Professor Pigarelli holds us accountable for the class. She lays out what is expected of you and it is our duty to put in the work to do the class. The class is important and is challenging becuase that is how the real world works.
The worse 2-credit class ever
Denise is quite possibly the worst professor I've ever had. This class only has 3 exams, each worth 30% of your grade. The exams are crazy hard and you need to know every single fact you learn in lecture in order to do well. Denise also makes you do a lot of unnecessary work that does not improve your learning whatsoever. Do not take this class.
Denise and this class just suck. Out of all the lecturers you have you will quickly realize that the random other lecturers are much better than Denise. I wouldn't take a class with her unless you had to.
I would never take this class againit sucks to say that cause the information you learn is really useful and practical. You need to memorize 100s of facts and slides b/c the tests have word for word random information. You get approx. 7 grades in 3 are exams, so you better do well for them. Its really not worth two credits. Dont recommend .
She's in charge of the OTC intro class and I had to put more work for this TWO credit class than my FIVE credit class. Class definitely isn't mandatory since all they do is read off slides exactly. Tests are incredibly hard. Have to memorize every slide word for word to be successful. Only 5 assignments/exams total in the gradebook at the end.
