I learned a lot in PA 200- Prof. Garcia's lectures were very thorough and she did an excellent job covering potentially sensitive subjects in a respectful manner. Weekly quizzes are pretty easy, especially if you do the readings. Overall a decent class, but definitely go to your TA for additional feedback on papers as the midterm is graded blind.

I would definitely recommend her. All of her lectures were very interesting and she is very respectful when talking about sensitive topics. Sections were also very engaging and pretty fun. The weekly quizzes are a breeze if you go to lecture (or just do the reading).

I showed up to roughly half the lectures all semester. As long as you make sure you stay caught up with doing the notes at home and go to discussion you'll be completely fine. There are super easy weekly quizzes that you can take twice and a short essay midterm and final essay. Didn't do any of the assigned readings and still got an A easily.

Favorite professor and class of the semester. Prof. Garcia's lectures were very engaging and infformative, and she was just generally very kind and respectful. Always encouraged participation but it never felt forced or intimidating. If you're looking for an intro to public policy, PA200 w Prof Garcia is a great choice.

Attendance was not required and slides were posted on Canvas. Lectures were interesting enough and the course was easy.

I really enjoyed her lectures! Created a relaxed atmosphere in class.
