Great class, really appreciated Dr. Anderson's great attitude towards students! Wasn't an extremely hard class, but if you put the work in, you have the potential to learn some very interesting topics. Really made me appreciate the beauty of calculus and electrodynamics/electrostatics.
Anderson is truly a professor that cares about his students. Seven biweekly quizzes and no midterms of final. No curve and 93 for an A, but there are 110 points possible. Sometimes, his lectures can be a bit confusing, but definitely visit him during his office hours if you are stuck because he is an excellent 1 on 1 tutor.
excellent at explaining during lecture, makes sure the class seems generally content with how he solved or derived something before moving on
Awesome funny
Caring, accessible professor, tough class.
Very easy class. Extracredit built into course, 5% of whole grade just by coming to each class. Takes best 6 out of 8 quizzes. No midterms, no final. Dave cares about us students. Video lectures before class, in class problems instead of lectures. Asked for feedback after first month, AND LISTENED. A must take. David Anderson for president!
Anderson was great. Really nice guy willing to help out whenever he can. He had some health stuff in my semester but still tried his best to be around. Tough but fair and he is definitely not out to destroy your grade. Make sure you go to class. He sometimes has some nice surprises for those who do. Ask for worked examples early in the semester.
The department forced Anderson to switch to moodle two weeks before this class started, so it was a disorganized mess last semester. Exams are rough, but his lectures and notes are VERY helpful, & is VERY willing to help out if you visit him in office hours. This is one of those classes that anyone can get an A if you put in the effort. Recommend!
Prof. Anderson is an incredible professor, and his passion/enthusiasm towards the course material made learning a breeze. He is not an easy A and challenges your comprehension, but this man proved to me time and time again throughout the semester that he cares more about his students than any other engineering professor on campus. An amazing prof!
One of the best professors I've had at Madison. He knows his stuff, teaches well, is pleasant, is very willing to help by email and office hours, and doesn't throw curve balls on exams. His class is hard, but if you go to lecture and do your homework, you can earn an A. Very down to earth and intelligent guy- a great asset at UW-Madison!
Anderson is a great lecturer and is very helpful. Exams were not overly difficult, and they were very instructive. Also, his office hours were probably the most useful I've ever been to.
Cares about students understanding and performance, one of the best professors ive had
anderson is the****
Anderson is the best professor ever. His lectures are very interesting and applicable to everyday engineering applications. Extremely helpful and cares much about all students. His assignments and exams were not difficult. On the one exam everyone did poorly on, he turned it into a take-home!
