Prof. Fratta is one of the best teachers I've had in UW. He really cares about his students

He makes course really interesting and attractive! And his courses are well designed in a step-by-step process. He tests students in exam flexibly but he gives scores in a reasonable way. He has a little accent while that won't cause a big trouble. I personally learned a lot from his course.

Dante's courses are difficult, but you will learn a lot and he truly seems to care about your education.

Dante was one of the best professors I've ever had. He was extremely enthusiastic about engineering and always encouraged us to do our best. He challenged us and made us learn how to solve our engineering problems ourselves. I learned a lot from Dante and I would take a class with him again in an instant.

Dante was good at teaching during the handful of times that he went in front of the class to explain the material. However, expect to learn almost everything on your own due to the hybrid setup. Exams were generally not bad, but the grading was so sloppy that I felt cheated out of points. He also missed the deadline for submitting final grades.

He is the kind of guy I'd have a beer with. That being said, he is not a super effective teacher. His grading is UNBELIEVABLY slow. The midterms took him a month to grade. If you ask a question on a problem, he will just do the work for you and give you the answer to the problem, not great for learning. All in all, great guy, not a great professor.

The Schedule and curriculum was almost a disaster. He doesn't tell you what's going to be on the exams, but to be prepared for "everything". But when you're not doing well, he cares and gives you extra attention. His exams are tricky, but manageable. He puts people on the spot to learn and answer questions. Work Hard in his Class to succeed.

Awesome. He is so much fun to have as a professor. He is super funny and knowledgeable about what he is talking about. He is also very passionate about teaching which makes him very good at his job.

Probably my favorite professor on the UW campus. He likes to ask questions during lecture which works to keep class entertaining. Answering his questions only gets you brownie points, but it may help boost you up a level for the final grade. He is hilarious and always available for whatever you need. I can't wait to take his other classes!
