I took Dan's class in fall 2024. Personally, the material was tough, but Dan was very helpful during office hours, he walked around in class to help us solve examples and was very supportive in general. I only wish I did well enough to meet the quality of his dedication. But overall highly satisfied and recommend.
Lectures just don't help - he does over things to quickly. I was able to do well in the class but only because I read the textbook. He also posts answers and doesn't explain how he was able to get the numbers.
I took Dan's AIS302 as a finance major and really found his content to be applicable to the finance world. The topics covered are relevant. His exams are difficult but manageable. Put in the work and, as a finance or accounting major, you will get something out of this.
Dan is a really good lecturer. He is super hands on and will work with you each day on an individual basis. Lectures consist of him teaching and then practice problems. Quizzes and exams are manageable but difficult. Would 100% take a class taught by Dan again
Dan is an excellent professor who explains complex topics very clearly. Half the class is lecture, half is doing practice problems as Dan walks around helping individually. The quizzes and exams are tough, but he has a very fair grading curve. Just do the homework, show up for class, and you'll get an A.
Dan is great. He teaches 302 in the spring. He lectures and then has the class do practice demonstration problems. Very effective way to teach. Quizzes were doable. Tests were hard, but you can still excel. Funny guy, and does care about his students. Very smart and researches tax changes
