A very casual class, but with lots of potential to learn about Asian history if you take the effort to do so! As long as you do the readings, the lectures are easy to follow and the notes serve as valuable study tools for tests which aren't cumulative. He is a very knowledgable man, but his lecture style is overwhelming for those who are notetakers. I would recommend doing the assigned readings and attending lecture without worrying about writing down what he says (because you will end up frustrated - guaranteed). Great Class, Extremely Interesting. This guy is not only very knowledgeable, he is really passionate, yet chill. Wasn't a stickler about being late or attendance, but for a good mark, you want to go to every lecture as he goes through a good amount of information every class.
