Let's cut to the chase: Professor Lee is terrible at teaching. However, it is critical to go to lectures because he hints at the proofs that he will put on the exams. Other than this, complete the homework and you should be fine for the class.Rate My Professors ↗
He taught straight out of the book during lectures so they aren't mandatory. I always went because he hints at test questions and one time told us one of the same exact proofs that was on the final. The class isn't much work, and I don't think the material is hard if you have a good professor.Rate My Professors ↗
He reads straight from the book during lectures and goes off on long winded, often useless proofs. He gives little to no test expectations. Would avoid if possible. I thought the class was worse than math 222. Midterm is 35% and final is 45%.Rate My Professors ↗
Donghyun is a nice guy but his lectures are only useful for trying to figure out what proof problem(s) will be on the exams. Weekly homework, exams are worth a total of 80% of your final grade. Like other reviewers have said, pray for a good TA because Donghyun's teaching style is fast-paced and proof-based, not example-based.Rate My Professors ↗
Donghyun gets a bad rep but he teaches the material well and understandably. He did miss a couple lectures and was a minute or two late everyday though which was a little frustrating. The class is almost all based on the midterm and final so there is a lot riding on them and he grades them somewhat harshly.Rate My Professors ↗
He reads everything from the textbook. That is not an exaggeration, he carries the textbook and constantly looks at it during his lecture. The midterm and final make or break your grade too. Expect to self teach a lot, and pray you have a good TA.Rate My Professors ↗
