She was the worst teacher I have ever had. She does and says something and will do the opposite, she will penalize you if she doesn't agree with your point. She should never have been hired as a teacher. Her class is easy but she is absolutely miserable. She ruined ethnic studies for me.Rate My Professors ↗
She was not that horrible. She is fairly easy if you go to lecture and take some notes. There are no quizzes just papers and as long as you write a good paper you will be fine. I loved my TA for this class, our disscusions got really deep. Great social work class to learn about different ethnic groups.Rate My Professors ↗
Horrible professor, great material but did not teach to the extent that she preached. Horrible grading guidelines, way too broad and vague. Not kind to students in class, tends to cut them off and not try to understand their view points, stubborn and arrogant.Rate My Professors ↗
Awful. It's too bad because the class could really be great, it's a really interesting and important subject. And the TA, Nichole, is fabulous. Unfortunately, this professor is completely incompetent. She probably even knows it because when students ask her for clarification or to do something differently in lecture she just makes excuses.Rate My Professors ↗
A truly BAD professor - has absolutely no redeeming qualities. Class structure is disorganized, she has poor time management in lecture, she doesn't make her expectations for grading clear or provide lecture slides when she says she will, makes excuses for her shortcomings when confronted. This is a very educational class and all students should really take this class, not just social work students. Hard to get an A on papers because what is expected for an A is never listed. Light work load most of the time, no exams but 4 papers time consuming papers. Overall decent class, the TA Nichole rocks!Rate My Professors ↗
