Don is a nice guy, and he is doing his honest-to-goodness best as a lecturer. If you can get past his awkwardness, he's really a brilliant guy, but he isn't a stellar lecturer. For MSE330, he was a bit out of his depth, and tended to go in circles. For 331, he's working off of notes, and has worked out some kinks.

Don is a really nice guy. He's very accessible out of class and wants to see students do well. The issue is that he is a poor lecturer, but his accessibility outside of class and his being a pretty easy grader make up for it.

He is the worst professor in my life. Avoid him if you can!

Don Stone's lectures are completely useless, and arguably will confuse you more on the material. That being said, he tries very hard to engage students and wants people to succeed. He is a very easy grader.

Met him a couple of times outside class and he's like the uncle that you could count on if you want to prank somebody else in the family. Weird description but this is why - I get the impression that he's unaware of how clueless students are in his class during lectures. However, he let's you get away with it because he grades fairly well.

Don is an absolutely horrid professor. I hope that he never has the opportunity to waste anyone else's time or money ever again. He was never EVER prepared for class. he cancelled every exam due to disorganization and ill preparation.

Really nice guy, he definitely wants you to learn and do well. However, his lectures can be scattered and confusing. His TA; Zhe Wang is amazing, and will literally save your grade. Exams are fair and are graded really really nicely! Homework is hard and you may need to work together to get it done.

Don is objectively the worst professor I have ever had. He is horribly disorganized and not prepared for class. He doesn't have a clear syllabus or learning objectives. You will learn nothing in any of his classes. He rambles on about nothing, talks himself in circles, and fails to understand or solve his own problems. Run away now!

Don is a very nice guy. He grades very easily. We only had one midterm and a take home final. Homework is very challenging. Really need the book in order to learn the material and do the homework.

A good teacher in that he is incomplete and forces you to learn to utilize time outside class with him and peers. His commitments impacted his preparedness. Get to know him, as he is a funny guy and a capable teacher if you remove the time constraints of lectures. Fair grader too.

Nice professor, seemingly discombobulated though. He genuinely wants you to do well and he knows the material, but he has a hard time conveying the material to a group of students with different levels of experience and backgrounds. Get to know him sooner rather than later so that he can tailor explanations that you understand to a greater extent.

Great guy and great class. However the lectures are somewhat scattered and don't help much with the homework, it is still useful to attend them. Class may seem impossible but the exams and homework are graded fairly easily.
