Don is a nice guy, and he is doing his honest-to-goodness best as a lecturer. If you can get past his awkwardness, he's really a brilliant guy, but he isn't a stellar lecturer. For MSE330, he was a bit out of his depth, and tended to go in circles. For 331, he's working off of notes, and has worked out some kinks.Rate My Professors ↗

Met him a couple of times outside class and he's like the uncle that you could count on if you want to prank somebody else in the family. Weird description but this is why - I get the impression that he's unaware of how clueless students are in his class during lectures.
