His lectures are him taking notes out of the textbook, he will use exactly the same examples as the textbook. I found the textbook a good resource for the class though. He will ask for questions, wait two seconds, and then move on. Going to office hours is helpful for the homework. Practice exams were much easier than the exams.Rate My Professors ↗
Actually nice professor, he uses comments on piazza to calculate the extra credit. Make sure you have full points cuz I was only 1 pt below AB and that was how extra credit came into handy. However, his exams are extremely hard. But he also sets a generous curve.Rate My Professors ↗
Math 340 is not hard, but the idea of linear algebra is new to most people, which makes this course daunting. Prof Kwon has a stern face and doesn't smile, but he readily answers questions no matter how stupid they are. A little downside is that his introduction to something new can be confusing, but as he lay out the details, you'll be fine.Rate My Professors ↗
Very kind and helpful in lecture and on Piazza. Never makes you feel dumb for asking a question. Explains some concepts more clearly than others but with some supplemental textbook reading I didnt have much trouble feeling like I understood everything; sometimes, I would be confused after one lecture but after the next one it all fell into place.Rate My Professors ↗
Dohyun is really nice. I like asking questions no matter after lecture or through Piazza, he always gave feedback for our questions. He also made improvements about the lecture throughout the semester. I can feel that he made his best to improve the atmosphere and interaction during lecture. Very generous with grades and a nice guy. Takes feedback very seriously and does clear steps to improve, quickly.
