I attended every lecture. He is very knowledgeable and knows how to teach. He is humorous and friendly. He is open to questions and will answer your questions patiently, and won't let you feel bad. A phenomenal professor! Very clear and provides plenty of motivation! Couldn't wait for the lectures every week because I was learning so much in each of them! Also, he engages you as a student by asking questions and inviting participation. Dima is one of the nicest profs in the math dept. Hes passionate about algebra, and hes fun and engaging, both in office hours and lecture. His exams can be tough, but he gives big hints and useful practice problems. Overall would recommend.Rate My Professors ↗
Very friendly and helpful. I struggled with the class but that was of my own fault, as Dima gives you everything you need to succeed in the class. Tough exams, but the practice tests are EXTREMELY similar to them, so you know exactly what to expect. This man is absolutely brilliant. Any struggles I had in this class had little to nothing to do with him. His tests were not the easiest, but his practice exams were very similar and doing them helps a lot. Do what I didn't and go to office hours and work with friends.
