Debraj was a fine teacher. Was not an exciting lecturer, and was extremely hard to pay attention to at times; however, if you go through the lecture notes he posts online and/or just pay attention in class you should be fine. The grading is pretty easy.Rate My Professors ↗
Very unclear and confusing lectures. Debraj struggles to explain concepts in generic terms and basically just writes formulas on the board. Test and fair and very similar to the homework. Clearly a very nice guy, but not a great instructor.Rate My Professors ↗
Kind of all over the place, but he has potential to be good. Office hours are helpful. Exams were easy if you do the homework before it. Make sure to know the notations, and the class will make more sense. The average for the final was a 95%. Exams have 120 points on them but are out of 100, so no curve.Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Das is by far the worst professor/teacher I have ever had. He mumbles his prewritten lecture notes. Frequently gives us wrong equations that dont line up with his online notes leading us to question which one is correct. I called him hilarious because of how wrong he is in most of his lectures to the point where it is photo worthy.Rate My Professors ↗
Worst lectures I have ever attended. He mumbles and writes incoherent equations (horrible handwriting) without explaining anything. If you do not already know statistics abbreviations you will be lost. Do yourself a favor and buy the textbook, read it and do not bother with the lectures.Rate My Professors ↗
The material for the course is not very difficult, but he is so poor at teaching that hardly any of it was communicated during lecture. Would have been okay to teach myself using the fairly helpful textbook, but the exams had problems over material we'd never seen or worked before, and were 80% of the total grade.
