About this rating

Raw average: 2.87/5 from 23 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Bad professor. Horrible to communicate with, lacks any understanding for students.

Awful man, courses rely too much on lectures, and the lectures have irrelevant information. He is very unprofessional, exams might have topics that were literally briefly mentioned during the lectures. Also, he doesnt provide any practice questions for exams, thus, you do not know what to expect on the exams/midterms

Lecture heavy class, lots of readings too. His lectures were somewhat interesting but could get boring at times. We had a semester long group project worth 40% of our grade which wasn't the best. This class also had very few assignments so you had to do fairly well on them all or you were screwed.

Really enjoyed this class and this prof, but you 100% have to go to lecture as there is basically no info on the slides, meaning if you miss class a lot, you miss a majority of the info. Labs are very easy as he gives you exact instructions (basically free points), and the midterms/final are relatively easy if you go to class and do the readings!

Slides had barely any information so you have to go to lecture in order to get the information. Labs are super easy, midterms are easy if you go to class and take notes. The syllabus makes him seem super scary but the class is not bad at all.

I can confidently say that Prof. Parker has been the best professor I've had through a year at this school. Though his slides can be messy at times, he gives you all the information you need to do well. Labs are basically free points as long as you do them, and midterms/final are tough but as long as you take notes you'll be fine.
