Very easy on the eyes and pleasant to listen to. I enjoyed the books we read for the class, I enjoyed the lecture, just wish the TA had been as good as the professor because discussion section was awful. I took Cook's Romantic poetry class. As it was my first poetry class I found it difficult to grasp the technical stuff but the professor made it soooo much clearer. Mainly because he's the most patient teacher in the world ever!!! Highly recommend!!!!!!!Rate My Professors ↗
Awesome!!! Cook is the best professor I have had at UW. He's smart and really knows his material. Lectures are extremely informative and yet still entertaining: he goes at a good pace, varying it at he goes to keep you on your toes. I loved the books we read. Cook was a good lecturer, and he was British! This class was very easy. We only read four books and a selection of poems. No tests, just 3 papers. Lectures were not necessary but he would walk through the texts pointing out themes and symbols. He was very funny at times as well.Rate My Professors ↗
Awesome class. The lectures are always interesting and lively, and the sectionals always generate good debate. I enjoyed reading most of the texts but the Joyce novel takes extra effort. The professor always has time for questions. Strongly recommend!!!!Rate My Professors ↗
