Professor Bronkhorst explains topics concepually, and not just mathematically. He pauses frequently during lectures to ask if students have any questions, so I don't know why people are saying he "refuses to answer questions". He did sometimes cold call on students, especially towards the end of the semester.

Poorly structured course and unnecessarily cruel at times

I would avoid him as a professor if at all possible. He seems to go above and beyond in being harsh to students. Don't ask a question if you don't want a mocking remark or question in return. He is a tough grader and does not allow much for leniency. He definitely creates a toxic learning environment.

Whenever I was waiting for the bus I thought about jumping infront of the cars because I hated this class so much. he also is mean.

bad. just awful.

bad lecturer, rushes through example problems and just assumes we all understood. Doesn't care about his student's success, won't give points back for regrade without the guarantee he won't take any away. Answers questions vaguely or with another question.

Lecture is waste of time, he reads off his slides with no explanation. Just read through the slides or watch online lecture in half the time.

Awful professor. Very difficult to communicate with and was not understanding of students situations. Was completely unhelpful in class. Answered every single question with another question. Did not care about his students learning or success.

He does not like collaboration between students (going against everything about engineering) and refuses to answer questions, so having him as a professor and being taught by a wall is the same thing. He doesn't care for his students well-being and says he is pushing them to be good engineers, but in reality, he pushes them to fail.

Nice course with lots of material. Book is a must. Prof. Bronkhorst taught it well considering the difficulty of the course and he inspires a lot. It's difficult to get much help though, and he expects to resolve ur doubts on your own. Exams are tough (in spite of him saying it's trivial) but he grades genuinely.
