Professor Castro is an extremely nice person to talk to, and very passionate about the subject matter. I didn't pay much attention in class towards the latter half, but the workload is very manageable, at least for non-Comm B. While attendance was mandatory, many students ended up not coming with time. But that's not really Clinton's fault.

Great guy. If you wanted to, you could totally scrape an A in this class without going to most of the classes, but if you have the time, I highly recommend that you attend lecture every day. They're super interesting, and it'll make the papers a lot easier. Also, find something to nerd out about and then go to office hours whenever you can.

I absolutely love Prof. Castro and highly recommend him. His lectures are engaging (if you're into ethics) and he cares a lot about his students and their experience. The class is graded on 3 papers and several in-class assignments. All are very easy. Each paper was returned promptly with specific and detailed feedback for improvement.

Seems like a nice, caring guy, though I never talked to him 1-on-1. The lecture is pointless, as he just discusses philosophy papers that students need to write papers about. Graded on 3 papers (3-4 pages) that are graded pretty easily, but can take a long time if you're new to philosophical writing. Pretty useless class IMO, but an easy A.

Professor Castro is an excellent professor. His grading criteria is clear and he is extremely organized. There is very little reading and he shares his lecture notes with the class. Also, there were only two exams and he gives the exam questions ahead of time.

I am jealous of anyone who has him and wish I could be in his class again. He is AWESOME.

This class wasn't my favorite just because I found out I don't like philosophy, but Clinton was my favorite teacher of the semester because he made lectures so fun. he clearly cared a lot about the success of his students and took the time to clarify questions and explain things thoroughly. I would definitely take another class with him.

Clinton is an amazing professor! He'll do anything to accommodate students and is genuinely one of the nicest people I've ever met. He's very passionate about philosophy and is lectures are thought-provoking and funny. I would definitely recommend taking a class with him.

Clinton is so helpful and really cares about his students. Very funny and will go over test questions with you in advance. He really wants his students to succeed. One of the best out there!

He's so great. His lectures are straight forward, and he's always willing to help you succeed. You don't have to read the book at all.

Clinton is great! One of the best professors I've ever had. I rarely went to lectures and still got a good grade.

Clinton is great! He is so sweet and always willing to meet with students. Take this class with him if you can. Grades is based on 4 exams and you can boost your grade with participation.

Funny and cute!

Awesome professor, class dynamic is much more casual and open which is great for an intro philosophy course.

best class i've taken. lectures are fun, tests can be hard but he gives you the prompts in advance. very passionate professor!

I loved having Clinton as a TA! He is extremely knowledgeable and great at communicating complicated material in a way that's easy to understand. He BY FAR cares more about his students than any other TAprof I've ever had. He goes the extra mile in every way possible to ensure a great learning experience. Definitely recommend.

Great T.A.!!!

Clinton is the nicest professorTA that Ive had at Madison. He makes class interesting and is very flexible with deadlinesgrading.

This class was so much fun! The topics we covered were really interesting and the discussions were really clear and exciting. i did not expect to have so much fun or learn so much in a philosophy class. You can tell that clinton really cares about his class and studetns.
