I LOVE PROFESSOR HADEN! Despite this class being entirely asynchronous online, she always had extremely productive and kind things to say in her assignment reviews and always kept me motivated to work hard (and she always graded things freakishly fast, like sometimes within hours. Very useful.) Would recommend her to ANYONE.

Professor Haden is the best. Completely virtual/no lecture class but she is always extremely active on Canvas and online to grade everything extremely quick. Nothing more to say: we need more professors like her.

Clare is THE BEST!!! Wanted an easy course for two credits, but ended up learning so many tools that have helped me become a better, more confident speaker. She really cares about her students and always leaves personalized, inspiring feedback. A great course to take even if you're not into theatre. Assignments vary every week and are super fun!!

As long as you show up and do your best on the work, this is an easy, fun class. Clare is bright, funny, and passionate. She cares about her students and is very flexible about all skill levels and interests in theatre. Readings are fairly short, writing assignments are short and informal, and due dates are easily met. Great extra class to take.

Clare is the sweetest woman! She truly wants her students to succeed and she will do all she can to help you succeed in her class. I have no interest in theatre but the content in this course is applicable to other ares of life. Easy A and felt like less than 2 credits worth of work.

We had to do two monologues for 240. We also did many physical and vocal activities. Clare does a great job at making everyone feel comfortable and included while at the same time pushing them to grow and experiment and try new things. She is also really good a balancing a class between theater and non-theater majors. She is very caring/helpful

Clare made me feel very comfortable in this class despite my limited background in theatre and public speaking. She was constantly challenging us to grow and learn more and gave excellent individual feedback. We also did a lot of movement, yoga, and meditation in addition to vocal work. I'm still using things she taught me 1.5 years later!

Clare is an absolutely amazing teacher. Her teaching method is beyond fantastic, and what she teaches is applicable to outside the realm of theatre. She really puts a lot of effort into her craft, personalizing the major assignments towards both pushing boundaries and helping us shine in our roles. This class was easily the best class I've taken.

Clare is so awesome! She's talented, and always enthusiastic about theater, especially teaching. She's great about helping students individually and is honestly one of the nicest people I've ever met. The class is fairly easy, and a lot of it is physical participation (stretching, etc.). Papers and performances are helpful and easy.

Clare is one of the most amazing teachers to ever come through this department. She actually makes learning enjoyable and you want to come to class everyday. She really encourages students to focus in on what is going on in the class and believe me, you will DEFINITELY benefit.
