Hands down, best math professor ever. Really cares about his students (go to office hours for free chocolates). Is able to explain topics really clearly using a lot of diagrams. The class is not easy but is definitely a worthwhile experience.

Caglar is one of the best math professors I've ever had, if not the best. His lectures are amazing and always worth attending. He's a really nice guy and is amazing at explaining hard concepts. This course has made me want to pursue higher level math, and it is thanks to Caglar.

Great Professor. Very intuitive way of explaining concepts through rigorous proofs. Workload wasn't too bad and homeworks often helped us better understand the concepts in the lecture.

Caglar is a good professor. He teaches pretty directly from the book, so you can get through most of the class either ignoring the textbook or skipping lecture. However, if you have no background in proofs, you may struggle. There is a weekly homework of around 5-10 questions, but it can take a long time if you don't understand the week's topics.

Wonderful Professorl!!! Math 375 is definetly hard but he made our class interesting and accessible. He has his own way on teaching instead of merely follow the textbook. His lecture combined with the proof of theorm and solutions of examples. Homework is harder than the exam but easier than the worksheets of the discussions.

Definitely a hard class, but the lectures were done very well, exams were short but fair and had no surprises. Homework was challenging and consisted of proof-based textbook problems (6-10 problems per week), discussions consisted of ~5 problems, harder than the homework, but ungraded. His office hours are helpful, and he is very flexible.

He is a legend

This professor rocks. The course is challenging if you don't have a proof-based math background, but Caglar is the best.

Excellent lecturer. Always perfectly balanced out his general-case examples and specific-case examples. Very clear how I should take notes & which information was pertinent. Very approachable with questions, incredibly understanding, & has an entertaining, dry sense of humor. Never wanted to miss a lecture.

Clear explanations. Tests were much easier than the things we proved in lecture.

Caring for his students and a great lecturer. Also wears awesome T-shirts!

One time in class he told us how when he was in school him and his classmates all purposefully failed the final to make the curve 100%, but his professor failed them all anyways. He really cares about his students and was always really helpful in office hours (which you will need to go to a lot).

Great lecturer, homework is very manageable with some problems graded for completion, and exams can be corrected for half credit back. Definitely would take this professor again, don't think anyone else could have taught the material better.

This was one of the best math classes I have taken, Caglar explains concepts really well during the lecture and answers everybody's questions. Although the material was difficult, there were only 2 midterms and a final for the course.

This was a very challenging course, but Dr. Uyanik is a great teacher! He is always willing to help outside of class and really goes his way to make sure you understand the content.

Amazing professor, he try his best to get everyone good grades. It is hard to fail the class. The material is pretty big jump from high school math, but he does a good job teaching it.

He will still teach this accelerating classes next fall. If you are freshman and interested in math, just take this course with him. He is amazing and this accelerating classes is super helpful for learning knowledge. His lecture is legendary, it is enjoyable to study math when you have an amazing professor. He also care about his students.

Caglar is my favorite prof I've ever had: incredibly passionate & caring about both material and students. It's the most I've ever learned in a math class; be ready to completely change the way you think about the subject. Weekly homework assignments prepare you well for the exams, which are difficult, but fitting for class expectations.
