I'm naturally bad at modern physics, and this guy's lectures and lecture notes can be extremely confusing at times. Read the textbook for sure.

Took class for a few weeks but ended up dropping. I'm not a fan of his teaching style one bit. Textbook only used for homework and not very helpful. Lectures are him rattling off his own notes and writing it down by hand. No demonstrations. No interaction. Discussion is hijacked as another lecture. Tests involve rewriting his class notes. Take 241.

He's fine if you go in for help, but his lectures are incredibly dry and there are no studying resources aside from his lecture notes since the book is not very similar to his teaching. I'd avoid him if possible. His main redeeming quality is that his sweater game is on point.

Professor Lin is a masterful lecturer and an absolutely phenomenal professor. Would not want to be taught this course by anyone else. Not necessarily the easiest Professor, but that's not why we are here!

Avoid him like a plague. Way too old, slow and arrogant. Very much self-important. Take the class from Daniel Chang if you can. Dan is much more knowledgable, clear and humble.
