The readings feel endless in this class, but if you go to lecture the one exam and reflections are relatively easy. You are required to buy her book, but look for them online because you really only need them for papers. Attendance is required for discussion and lecture so don't miss and enjoy the wacky content.Rate My Professors ↗

I ended up with an AB in this class. Super awesome class - I just didn't go to lecture so attendance kind of screwed me and I did none of the readings which you get quizzed on each week which actually kind of affect your grade. Although I had some grievances with the class itself, Professor Whelan was amazing She was very inspirational, cared about the students, and unlike every other one of my classes, I could make it through a whole lecture while staying interested.
