About this rating

Raw average: 2.68/5 from 115 quality ratings. The adjusted rating blends this with the UW review average (3.66/5), weighted as 20 additional ratings. Smaller samples stay closer to that average. Each captured review is counted once in the prior; this does not correct who chooses to leave a review.

Exams were a time crunch and unlike the homework. She is very generous with partial credit and HW extensions. Unlimited notes on the exams. She responded quickly to questions and is a very nice person. Def not as bad as others below say, when canvas went down she made the final only help our grade. You'll be fine with no previous stats experience.

Professor Green is a compassionate and supportive professor. When Canvas went down right before the final, she handled the situation very fairly by making the final exam only count if it improved students' grades. I really appreciated how understanding she was during a stressful time.

I think she's fine compared to what everyone else below me is trying to say. I do agree with the exams being kind of long and more brain-intensive than any of the homeworks, but I feel like that's sort of cancelled out by the fact that they were open note.

She's caring, willing to help, and is generally positive. Still, the lectures cover a lot of material, the weekly HW takes a significant amount of time, and the tests are a time crunch. You have to be ready to dedicate extra time outside of lectures if you want to do well. I spent ~4 hrs/week reviewing material and ~4hrs/week on the HW and quiz.

She is kind but the workload is heavy. There is a lot of homework, and exams are much harder than the assignments. Lectures move fast and the explainations are unclear, so it takes a lof of extra time to learn on your own especially without prior knowledge to stats. The exams are also very time-pressured.

Chelsey is a decent lecturer and very kind, but I would avoid taking her class if you have no prior stats experience. She fails to explain root topics and flies pretty quickly through examples. However, she is very helpful and quick to respond through Piazza. Exams are much harder than the weekly homework, though not impossible.
