As long as you attend all the lectures and can complete the homework and in-class exercises by yourself, you can almost definitely get an A!

Professor Chao Fu is an incredible instructor! She's extremely helpful, explains everything thoroughly with clear, logical structure, and her detailed slides, in-class exercises, and homework closely reflect the exams. I highly recommend going to every lecture: absolutely worth it to hear her walk through each concept and example in detail.

The content is definitely very challenging, and the exams are tough, but she is definitely one of the better professors I've had here. Lectures aren't mandatory, but I would heavily recommend attending all of them. Great lecturer overall, and if you are looking to fulfill your advanced Econ credits, I would highly recommend this class.

You gotta attend the lectures, you can't get what you need from the textbook but you absolutely can from Professor Fu. Very good lecturer, goes into all the nuances and really tries to make things make sense within the broader context of econ. One of the best professors I've had at UW!

Prof Fu really does not grasp the concept of engaged teaching. She really just reads off the slides and is ultra boring. Anybody can get a B though so I suppose that makes up for it.
