Casey is a great guy, definitely cares about his students. Slow to grade but very clear on what decisions he's made if you ask him. The exams are made by a head professor and you won't do much preparing for them in class. Definitely read the textbook or you won't pass the exams.Rate My Professors ↗
Casey is awesome! He is very clear and his lectures are interesting and fun. You have several problem sets to do and they can be long. You cannot wait to the last minute to do them. He gives 3 quizzes which he is very clear about. It was a tough class but if you go for extra help he is more then willing to give it to you. Best class I've had!Rate My Professors ↗

Easily accessible to students, is willing to set up times to meet if you can't make the office hours (which are directly after lecture so you can talk to him right away). Tells you exactly what will be on quizzes, midterm, and final. Problem sets due once every 2 weeks. Really good at explaining concepts, all lecture material is posted online.Rate My Professors ↗
So helpful; always available outside of class. Class participation definitely matters. Casey is pretty flexible on assignments - if you don't understand something, he's more than willing to answer questions and give you an extension, as long as it's clear you made an attempt. Casey is alwayyyss available to help you, he has office hours after class twice a week. Not always super prompt on email, but sometimes its because he is waiting to talk to you in person in class.
