Has a bunch of assignments with really vague instructions and is really hard on grading them. The class is out of 100 points and he will take points off of your assignments for the dumbest things. His exams are pretty easy and you pretty much know whats coming. Mostly multiple choice and T/F with a couple short answer. AvoidRate My Professors ↗
I have never written a review here before but I feel very strongly that students should avoid taking any course with Barry. I'm extremely disappointed in how unorganized the course structure is and the arrogant attitude of Barry. Exams average 40%-50% and he came across condescending when approaching him for help. Barry is a good guy who has relatively interesting lectures but the tests are a complete toss-up and not even worth studying for. This was shown by the 60% and 50% averages for the last two exams. He really have no idea how to teach the class and the grading seemed to be based on a coin flip for homework assignments. Don't recommend at allRate My Professors ↗
Barry gave interesting lectures and you could tell he wanted to help students succeed. Overall EXTREMELY disorganized. Exams should have been curved because they had very low averages. Rather, he gave extra credit which just added more work and still didn't make up for the low exams. You're better off taking with a different proffesor.Rate My Professors ↗
A COMPLETE disaster. It was the least organized class I've ever taken, taught by the worst teacher I have ever had in my entire fourteen years of schooling. Halfway through the semester he completely changed the class content and exams were way too difficult.
