Audrey is by far one of the most caring and loved professors we have at the UW Theatre Department. I have also taken 360 with her and have never had a more organized and thoughtful director in my entire acting career. If you have the opportunity to take a class with Audrey, DO IT! You will be a better theatre artist after just one class.

I have had Audrey for three classes and I would take classes with her 7000x over. She is an extremely dedicated, organized, caring, and fun professor. You can get so much out of her classes if you do the assigned work, pay attention, and participate. The participation is not at all painful, and she sincerely cares about your growth. I

This is the second class I've had with Audrey and I registered for a 3rd next semester. She tells everyone to find what they admire in one another and that resonated with me. She radiates love and care. Her classes aren't difficult but she challenges you to be a better human.

I'm in Audrey's 150 class right now and I love it. She makes class fun and she cares about us. Homework was a lot for the first month, but it eased up greatly. She does warn that the class is front loaded. I really like her and now I'm thinking about majoring in theatre. Don't hesitate to take a class from Audrey.

Audrey will push you has an actor and will always raise the bar. 250 is a big step up from 150. She did not make herself very available outside of class time, if so it was very rushed. Feedback got repetitive into the course, not much personal student-to-professor investment. But super fun course with so many talented actors.

Come to class or you will fail - very harsh attendance policy. Professor didn't make herself that available outside of class, but did respond to emails. Participation is necessary, and the class is fun and informative! But she kind of goes through the motions - ultimately just make the most of the class yourself because she won't help with that.

Fun class that inspired me to pursue acting! Audrey was a nice professor, but she took little interest in her students. Theatre requires growing and connecting to the industry, Professor Standish had little focus on advancing the careers of her students. The theatre department here just lacks resources. Classwork should have been more in-class.

Attendance really matters!! Also sometimes she expected a little much from a beginner class.

She was a fun and engaging theatre teacher. I would definitely take her class again!

I really enjoyed taking class with Audrey. She is understanding, kind, and funny. I have accommodations and she worked with me outside of class so that I felt confident while in class. She makes odd jokes but sometimes it's fun to laugh at a mom joke. I have zero complaints.

Audrey's class is life changing. I had never taken a theater class and now I am working towards a certificate after completing 150. She really works with you and helps you grow throughout the semester. I thought the quizzes were easy and the exam was nothing, she gives you a review sheet with everything on it. Audrey is so kind and cares.

I liked 150. Audrey was really kind. She gave written feedback on scenes/monologues and I felt I grew a lot from her notes. I am a computer science major and had little background in acting. Audrey met everyone on their level. Overall, the class was great and Audrey was fun to have as a Professor.

I really liked having Audrey as an instructor. She seems to really care about the craft and wants students to do well. There is a strict attendance policy (you can miss 3 times) but I get it since we work in groups. Audrey really helped me when I was hospitalized. She got me up to speed in no time. I plan to take 250 with her as well.

Lacks empathy for students, especially those who are shy or beginngers. Her attitude during class makes attending sessions dreadful. Doesn't encourage students. She lacks understanding when sickness arises, which can be frustrating during a pandemic. Far too intense for a beginner level acting course.

had her last semester . just kind of rude personality made theater unenjoyable

I didn't like the final exam that came with this class, as well as having a long scene performance. It's hard to meet your partners outside of class, especially with Covid, and Audrey doesn't really make exceptions for this. There are also a lot of unnecessary readings.

She has a very bad attitude in class. Can be rude towards students. I'm not sure why there is an exam in a theatre class? Makes it very difficult for first-time learners in acting. Would not take it again!!! Has no empathy towards students and if you skip class for an emergency she will punish you.
