Great professor! Teaches in a way that helps you learn a lot of new vocabulary quickly, though it can be a little overwhelming at times. Strict but not unfair. Wish I could take her courses again.

Prof. Tumarkin is one of the best language teachers at UW-Madison. Great course.

Anna is the best. She's very friendly, speaks beautiful native Russian, and covers relevant/contemporary material that extremely useful. She demands a lot of students, but is fair

Great teacher and awesome class. You learn and talk about current Russian topics and events. We also got to watch a movie and got some Russian food. You do one 5 minute presentation on Russian culture and and if you go to all the classes you will get an A. You only have class once a week.

Honors class that can be taken while taking Slavic 101 (Russian). Native from Ukraine, very nice, obviously knows the language and culture very well. No tests or quizes. One 5 minute presentation and attendance is your entire grade. If you show up and do the presentation (in english) you get an automatic A. Take it!

Amazing professor. She really pushes you to push yourself. You'll actually be able to hold at least a basic conversation with native speakers after this class. Slight Ukrainian accent, but hardly noticeable. Class structure could use some work, the schedule is loosely followed. Very friendly at office hours and goes out of her way to help.

Honors section; very easy, but fun and informative.

Anna is THE best teacher of Russian I ever had. She is very demanding, but at the same time does an incredible job making sure her students succeed. She is VERY fair, her explanations are wonderful. This was the first class that really prepared me to go to Russia. I wish I could continue taking her classes.
