This class is AP Stats - but easier. Anita definitely cares about her students. One of the better professors this semester. She made the midterm exam, which was extremely easy (open note and open internet). Discussion was a waste of time (not mandatory) but did provide practice exam questions. A good change of pace when she took over the class.

I loved this instructor and am currently looking for what else she teaches! She was clear and intelligent, it is obvious she used to be a fancy consultant in New York! I loved the videos and office hour help (very friendly, informal, and she even helps you ask questions if your stuck on what to say). Class is tough (esp. without AP Stats) but good.

Teaches the first third of class. Easily the best professor of the three. Great explanations and energy in her videos that I felt it was good instruction even during this online learning situation. Super understanding as well as I had an issue with my computer for the case study, and she let me have extra time. Easy class if you took AP Stats

Her name is impossible, but that is literally what copy and paste is for. Prof. M is awesome, I felt she was very fair and reasonable even when I write her a crazy frustrated email about my computer crashing at 4PM for a 5PM deadline. I actually learned from her style and she puts in a TON of effort, which none of my other teachers do. Overall A++

Anita is very energetic and excited about the material which makes class/ videos enjoyable to watch. The content is also relevant which is nice. Overall, very kind compassionate teacher.

Professor Mukherjee has been the most concise, enthusiastic, and effective educator of all my instructors at UW-Madison. She has laid a great foundation for clearly relevant skills needed for data analysis of any field. I would recommend this instructor to any student using data.

I had her for BA1 few years ago but just saw her do a presentation, so remembered how much I liked the class! AM is a cool lecturer and has a lot of energy. BA1 was good (my lecture was too big though), exams were fair as she gave all the old ones to study from. I hope to take one of the other classes she teaches!

definitely don't push off the case, and you should be OK. class isn't too bad if you show up to lecture, go to the discussion (this where they'll show you the case stuff), and maybe watch the videos she makes or go an office hour. this prof is really smart and take her if you can, she seems to mostly do research and not teach

Fast grader, but need to do a lot of additional work work to actually learn and master the material for the difficult tests.

Anita is brilliant but keeps things simple. The material is easy to learn and isn't too challenging. She puts up helpful videos for the case study. Overall, pretty solid.

Anita will be the professor you'll have for the first 3rd of this course and her module is honestly incredibly easy. She makes the lectures go by really fast and posts instructional videos on Canvas to prevent confusion among students. Her module covers a really basic Excel assignment along with a case write-up (easier than you think). Good luck!

I took this class when the curriculum changed and we were required to do the cases by ourselves. A lot of work and focus is needed to do well on the case on your own. I struggled since I was not very familiar with Excel. Anita gave great videos to help with it, and was very knowledgeable about analytics. Don't put the cases off!

Her lectures are interesting and she made me feel really proud to be at UW. Her teaching style and simple examples worked well for me. We didn't have any group projects yet, we had a case homework due every week and that was a lot of work as she's doing both case and exam stuff all the time. Don't know how rest of class will go though.

Two group cases and and two exams. Everything a bit hard/annoying but doable. Lectures were sometimes cool and professor is really smart and clear. Would have loved to take an elective class to get more insights from her since gb 306 is big and too structured.

This class is graded clearly, it's not hard but it's annoying. There's two group projects that take forever and one short answer exam. the final is extremely pointless.

best professor ever! just finished module 1 (the class is split into parts and she only teaches one part) and the group case was hard, lots of excel, but clear directions and sort of interesting. anita made me feel like i could actually learn statistics. she also tried hard to make the class engaging and is easy to talk to and very fair.

Class was straightforward. Material can get hard/boring but profs put a lot of energy to make it applied and more interesting. The videos Anita posts with Excel are really helpful and I didn't need to go to office hours for help. Useful core class.

Analytics 1 is really simple. Two tests and two group projects. One of each is Anita's and the other one is Hessam's. The material is really easy and Anita explains it really in depth. It's super easy to get an A on the exam and the project if you try. They give you the last two exams from the past semesters which makes studying really easy.
