Took 341. I lived off of the TA's knowledge since they seemed to know the material in depth. Took 343 and 345 and had really bad habits from taking Dr. Greenberg's class. Nice guy, but didn't know the material as in depth as he's supposed to being a prof. Couldn't answer questions and the TA's had to correct a lot of his work.
Most I've ever worked for a BC. Material isn't tough but ta's butcher quiz and test answers that aren't absolutely perfect. Lot of memorization so if thats not your thing dont take it. He seemed like a decent guy, but my ta was a jerk
Don't take 341 if you are really a chem person, it doesn't go nearly as deep as 343 and kind of babysits the lower end of the curve. Greenberg is very nice and will help you along, but the class is pretty plodding. If you did very well in chem 109 this class probably isn't for you.
Easily one of the best professors I've ever had. Just make notecards of all of the rxns mentioned on the powerpoints and you'll do fine. I was afraid to take it initially b/c chem 103 and 104 were difficult for me and had to try very hard, however, I was surprised at how easy this class was. I study minimally and get A's. Dr. Greenberg's great!
It's organic chemistry, so it's going to be hard, but he made it as easy as he possibly could. Very willing to help out anytime and his lectures are what is on the exam, so learn them.
Pretty sweet dude! Love talking to him online and going to his office hours. Really good professor, would do him again!
Let's be honest, no one wants to take OChem...It's a REALLY hard class, but this professor made it a lot easier than it could have been. It's important to attend lectures because although you have printed powerpoints, you have to fill in a TON of the mechanisms and stuff. He's very understanding and helpful, always willing to help. Go to lecture!
he is not a very good teacher - it was hard to stay awake for his lectures cause you go off of printed notes, and sometimes he gives you extrenuous material.. altho he does care about the students and he does a few cool demos.. his tests were pretty hard/crunched for time but they tend to stick pretty close to the notes.. I got an A but not easily
The class was decent but definately not one of my favorite classes. Tests were too long and tough for the time alloted so grades were mostly based on a curve (basically whoever screws up the least and finishes more of their test gets an A)
Professor was very helpful and open to class input. Very involved and willing to help. Do the supp. probs, most likely to see them again on tests. Very good teacher. Would take him again. Very easy to go and talk to.
One of the best professors I have ever had. Extremely helpful. He makes sure that the students are understanding the material.
