I LOVED this professor and I hope to have her again. She is so passionate about what she teaches that even my friends who weren't soc majors liked this class. The exams are a bit tricky so definitely don't slack off when studying and you do have to go to lectures to do well.

I have so much respect for Dr Daminger! She goes through her lectures without barely looking at notes or slides, and her content is interesting and engaging. The exams are very easy, but the lectures are still totally worth going to

Very sweet and caring professor. Her lectures are interesting and the environment is very easy going. You can tell she wants her students to succeed and the exams are extremely fair. Would totally recommend this course

Attendance for section is required, but no lecture; however exams are lecture heavy. If you go to lecture you get extra credit. 2 papers with small word count but were fairly easy. Gives useful study guides and review during section. I thought lectures were really interesting. If you go to class and try you should be able to get a good grade.

Participation only matters in discussion**Attendance is mandatory for section but not for lecture, though you get extra points if you go. Professor Daminger is a really understanding Professor and I loved her lectures.

While prof D's lectures are not mandatory, she does a great job at making them very interesting. Your grade really depends on your TA- they will be the person grading all of your papers/writing assignments. Tests covered a lot at once, but they give a really helpful study guide every time. She's very flexible and accessible outside of class.

Great professor & clearly wants to see her students succeed. Lectures were very interesting. There is a required book, however, the exam content is lecture heavy. Tests were clear, and study guides were provided. There are two 300 word writing assignments (worth 8% and 12% of overall grade) that were tedious- large prompt for little word count.
