Talks a lot. Can be boring. But, interesting material and willing to take questions outside of class. Also, British.

He is very invested in all his students and wants the best for them. Is really good at making the subject interesting and easier to understand. Very open minded to all opinions students could have and is willing to learn from them.

Lectures were typically not very engaging, but you get credit for showing up. Class was graded on only a few assignments, maybe 3 in class essays and section participation. This professor obviously is passionate about the topic, which helps to make the ideas more clear.

Professor Roberts is a great philosophy teacher. He was always very accessible for questions about the course through office hours or email. He also clearly enjoys to see students learn about course material and even made a point to learn everybody in my lectures name. If you do the readings and engage during lecture you will do well in the course.

All you need to do is show up and get a handout, then you can basically tune out the rest of lecture. If you miss a class, you can email him and he will send you a handout via email, he is very understanding and accessible outside of class. If you are a screenager this class is not for you as he does not allow phones. Tests are not hard either.

Requires an location-tracking app to log into class but bans technology. Says much about him

He graded heavily on a few assignments but adjusted grades up based on participation. He is always eager to answer any questions related to philosophy. Lectures can be a bit boring at times but if you stay engaged, you will do well in the class. Genuinely the best professor I've had!

Took Roberts in his first semester. Lectures occasionally dry, but typically engaging and enjoyable. Definitely cared about teaching students philosophy and hearing our thoughts on the subjects we discussed. Graded heavily on 3 writing assignments + final exam. Express an interest in learning philosophy and you will do well in this class.
