AUDREY STANDISH

Audrey is like the aunt you always wanted. The cool aunt. She is very kind and considerate when it comes to her students. Her classes feel like a family unit. She creates a space where everyone belongs. I just really admire her and I think UW is lucky to have her. Take a class with Audrey, you won't regret it.

Audrey will push you has an actor and will always raise the bar. 250 is a big step up from 150. She did not make herself very available outside of class time, if so it was very rushed. Feedback got repetitive into the course, not much personal student-to-professor investment. But super fun course with so many talented actors.

I am a Standish fan. She is so kind and cares so much about her students. I had her also for 150 and she just inspires the room. I think she's the best professor at UW Madison in theatre. I took 250 in the fall of 2024 and she would buy the class coffee, get to know us, and really inspire us to go further. I grew tremendously as an actor.

Audrey is by far one of the most caring and loved professors we have at the UW Theatre Department. I have also taken 360 with her and have never had a more organized and thoughtful director in my entire acting career. If you have the opportunity to take a class with Audrey, DO IT! You will be a better theatre artist after just one class.

I have had Audrey for three classes and I would take classes with her 7000x over. She is an extremely dedicated, organized, caring, and fun professor. You can get so much out of her classes if you do the assigned work, pay attention, and participate. The participation is not at all painful, and she sincerely cares about your growth. I

This is the second class I've had with Audrey and I registered for a 3rd next semester. She tells everyone to find what they admire in one another and that resonated with me. She radiates love and care. Her classes aren't difficult but she challenges you to be a better human.
