The lectures were always interesting, easy to follow, and enjoyable. She does a good job getting people to participate, but you don't really have to if you don't want to.

She is a very engaging teacher, but does cold calls. There are very many reading assignments each week. Lectures are mandatory.

Loet's was a really great professor. My class had no papers and was instead based on exams which was really nice. The exams were easy work if you did the readings and paid attention in lecture. Fair warning: She doesn't allow electronics of any kind during lecture and will take 1% off your final grade for each offense.

Professor Loets was a great teacher! Lectures can be kind of long sometimes and content heavy, but it is much more fun if people are engaged in conversation. She constantly makes jokes during class and gives note packets which make reviewing for the exam and just keeping up in general much more simple. Would recommend!!

The lectures can be boring if you have no interest in philosophy or any personal beliefs regarding the things you discuss in the class, but if you do, then the class is fun because you can try and argue against what some of these philosophers are saying. For a 4 credit class, the reading is fast but a bit annoying to understand. Overall, easy class

Despite what I see below, she clearly took that feedback and made a 180. Her lectures are engaging. The class can be boring at times but she does her best to keep you engaged. She also cracks funny jokes about philosophy. Point being she cares about you succeeding in her class. Would recommend to anyone who needs a gen ed req.
