If are not one of Konz favorites... this class will be significantly more difficult for you compared to her "star" students. Grading is very subjective with unclear/vague assignment guidelines. Attendance and participation are crucial for a decent grade. I do not recommend this class at all. There are better psych capstones to choose from.Rate My Professors ↗
Dr. Konz was a wonderful professor. Very strong "no nonsense" attitude but clearly cares deeply for her students. Assignments were two papers, two presentations (1 individual, 1 group), and participation. Probably wouldn't be a great class for someone who struggles with speaking in discussion, but she was accommodating to the best of her ability.Rate My Professors ↗
Professor was an I/O psychologist for years and created this course. If she doesn't like you, she will grade you horribly the entire year. Does not have a TA or anyone to check her grading and so she can get away with anything she wants. Extremely opinionated and will mark you wrong or out you in the class if she disagrees even if its your opinion.Rate My Professors ↗
Dr. Konz is very passionate about the material she is teaching. She also has lots of expertise from her career in I/O. The course materials are learned through hands-on ways, such as group projects, article presentations, and literature reviews. There are interesting readings from the textbook and I/O papers. Professor Konz inspires her students to take the material outside of the classroom. She provides timely and quality feedback. I highly recommend that students take her course. Prof. Konz is very knowledgeable in the field of I/O Psychology, but you will be teaching yourself from the textbook and learning from each other. Lots of group projects and presentations plus a couple lit reviews. She also looks for specific things for you to mention when she grades.
