He's difficult to understand, covers material too quickly, and does not put much of effort into making material accessible for the level of students that he's teaching. He does care a lot about the subject, which is obvious. It is not worth it to buy the textbook. He will try to help you, but he won't explain anything well.Rate My Professors ↗

The class was okay and Dr. Carlson was a decent teacher. The only reason I showed up to class everyday was just to oogle at Dr. Carlson hot body. I would have done bad things to him if he would have asked. Too bad I heard he was married. :(Rate My Professors ↗
Good lecturer, exams come from powerpoint and lecture, so just study those. Some test questions are poorly worded. Final is cumulative but the questions for the old material were exact replicas of the first midterm. Discussions don't relate to test material, but still go. HW is easy.
