(for 431) Professor Cochran was delightful and accessible. She made the material more engaging and encouraged peer to peer conversations to work on collaboration and better understanding.

She is super enthusiastic, helpful worksheets (in terms of assignments), but she gives extremely hard homework and grade exams very though. I study based on reading the course-provided notes and thinking the homework.

Amy is one of few college professors I've met who cares about her student's conceptualization of her material, rather than regurgitation. Her strategy of in-class group work is designed to bring all students up to a basic level, rather than stratify class grades and weed out the less-prepared.

One of the best professors I've had at UW. The class is hard, but Professor Cochran makes it a lot easier plus helps you actually learn things. Great class, amazing professor!

Professor Cochran is easily the best math professor I've had at UW. The class is hard, and the lectures are heavy, but Prof. Cochran is very caring, very encouraging, and easily accessible outside of class. She is willing to provide good help on homeworks (which are very useful to the class content) and does great job at explaining class concepts.
