Amaud is a standout in the Creative Writing program. He is truly invested in younger poets as human beings, and is generous with his spirit, mind, and time, from being present at off-campus events and celebrations, to being available in his office for informal chats. His mentorship, humility, thoughtfulness, and wit and will not be forgotten.

Amaud is my favorite teacher in college. I took him for my poetry thesis class, but have also taken many other courses with him. I went in with an interest in poetry, and came out a genuinely good poet. he is extremely helpful - only downfall is that he is horrible at answering emails. Other than that - amazing professor!!

Amaud demands a lot from his students but it's entirely worth it. If you're invested in your writing to begin with, the work/reading isn't that bad. Very helpful.

Amaud is an awesome professor. He is very funny, and very good at engaging the entire workshop in discussion. The feedback that he gives on the poems is very useful. The reading can be alot at times but it is manageable. Overall,this was the best workshop i've taken and I didn't want it to end!
