I adored her. I took her criminology class and passed with consistent As on all tests/projects, although I know the average for the class was on the lower side. If you do all the readings and pay attention in lecture (which she makes extremely engaging on an already interesting topic) you will do fine.Rate My Professors ↗
Amanda enjoys teaching and is ver knowledgeable about sociology. However, the readings are excessive and annoying, class is mandatory, and exams cover a ton of material. Strict no computer or cell phone use in class.Rate My Professors ↗

Professor Ward is an incredible professor. She does a really good job at connecting lecture to real life situations and always gives interesting/repeatable examples. Attendance is mandatory through iClicker questions. There are four reading assignments a week and if you do the reading and write the response you will do well. Would recommend!Rate My Professors ↗
Amanda is one of my fav professors so far. She really knows her material and explains clearly. Interesting lectures covering lots of cool topics. Homework is to read 3-5 academic journals per week and write reading journal (with given guide questions). Mandatory attendance and non-cumulative final.
