Professor Shubert is awesome! Her knowledge and passion are evident in every assignment and discussion. She created a wonderful environment for learning and discussion. If you like book clubs and history, this class is for you. Read three books over the semester with some added readings. Professor Shubert is very passionate but some of her lectures have politics in them. Might depend on what your class topic though. Professor Shubert is the best professor I've met in my college. I took 313 twice with different topics: global film history and cinema realism. The films and readings were engaging and inspirational. I like her contract grading policy. It encourages me to learn with motivation and enthusiasm without overstressing or anxiety.Rate My Professors ↗
Professor Shubert is ok, seemed a little out of her depth, sometimes more interested in what she was saying than what students had to say. Strict but unclear requirements, lots of reading which was fine but it never felt like Professor Shubert knew what she was doing.
